Uncasville, CT – A renewed love for our wonderful world-class casino, Mohegan Sun. A midweek concert on a beautiful summer night brought out many to see a world class act by Bell-Biv-Devoe. Their set started at 7:30 pm to a socially distance show where they were the only act. The DJ started off getting the crowd raved up with classic hip-hop tunes with classic scratching on the wheels of steal.
The appreciation for them runs deep as they continue to celebrate over 30 years of performing. That said, BBD announced that they have signed on to a residence deal in Las Vegas, which they will be joined by the rest of the original group with all of the former New Edition. An awesome deal and achievement for them.
The Mohegan Sun performance was in my opinion pretty good except they look tied in their routine as they missed dance steps. The 2 girl background dancers did a better job in the movements. And I must say, I did not appreciate the roll out of bed attire. It’s hard to find acts these days were they make an effort to dress up in costume and look like showman. Miss-match clothes and died old street wear. No class in that regard.
The show lasted about an hour, where in the end they invite a few women and couple of guys up on the stage to shoe their dance move a great way to include the audience. With a bow, the show was over.
The Mohegan Sun staff does a great job with converting the arena set-up and teardown. They are the best. Polite and welcoming. Keep up the good work Mohegan staffers. Until next time. My wife and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary and what a fitting tribute to our love with seeing a group of which we were dancing to BBD tunes 30 years ago.
